GMC Shocks was born from GMC Sport, a company with a brilliant track record in the world of racing vehicles since 2008.
The passion for the world of high competition motor racing is an important part of Gerard Murgadella’s life. Gerard has been involved in this field since 1997, participating in the World Rally Championship both on gravel and asphalt. When he decided to found GMC Sport in 2008, he knew exactly what the needs of the high-performance automotive industry were, he knew which parts and gears worked and which had potential for improvement. Knowing a world from the inside and knowing its intricacies is the first step to be able to create products or services that provide solutions to existing needs.
In 2020, GMC Sport evolved into GMC Shocks, a company that was born to fill a need in the automotive industry. At that time there was a considerable technical vacuum in the field of high-end suspensions and shock absorbers, and we at GMC Shocks wanted to do our bit in this area.
In fact, the lack of suspensions out there was so considerable that Gerard bought a car and tried to find a suspension on the market that would fit the specific needs he had. It was mission impossible to find one, so he decided to build one on his own with the help of his engineering team. The result was surprising: the suspension that Gerard had manufactured gave very good results and so he decided to start marketing them.
